2028 NFL Playoff Schedule – Wild Card, AFC, NFC, Super Bowl LXII
Following the regular season, the 2026 NFL Playoffs begin. It is a single-elimination tournament of four-round that scheduled with the Wild Cards from Saturday, January 8 to Monday, January 10, 2028. Next round divisional playoffs are scheduled from Saturday, January 15 to Sunday, January 16, 2028, then the Conference Championship games are scheduled to be played on Sunday, January 23, 2026, and finally the final playoff game to determine the champion of the season, Super Bowl LXII is scheduled for Sunday, February 13, 2028, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
How 2028 NFL playoffs will work?
The National Football League has 32 teams, divided equally into the AFC and NFC conferences, with each conference further divided into four divisions of four teams each. As of 2025, the top seven teams in each conference, seeded 1 through 7 based on their overall record, will qualify for the playoffs.
Excluding the Super Bowl host location, every playoff game’s host city is determined by the 1–7 seeds. The No. 1 seed earns a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the Divisional Round, facing the winner of the lowest-seeded team from the Wild-Card Round. The No. 2 seed will host the No. 7 seed, the No. 3 seed will host the No. 6 seed, and the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed during Wild-Card Weekend. In the Divisional and Conference Championship rounds, the top-seeded team will host the lowest-seeded team during the playoffs.
