2025 NFL Playoff Bracket, how the current format does work

NFL playoffs of 14 teams where 7 from each AFC and NFC Conference will play for a single-elimination tournament to become the league’s champion. However, we are here to know how the 2025 NFL playoff system does work, and more.

How 2025 NFL playoff format does work?

We know that there are 32 team members equally divided into two conferences AFC and NFC. So each conference has 16 teams that are also divided into divisions of four teams according to their geographic position.

The top overall recorded team, 1 to seven from each division of each conference will clinch the playoff seeds. No. 1 team from each conference will be seeded in the divisional round with home-field advantages. In each conference 2nd seed team will host the 7th seed, then No. 3 will host the No. 6, and the 4th will host the 5th seed in the 2025 wild-card playoffs.

In the 2025 divisional playoffs, the No. 1 seed will host the lowest-seeded of the wild-card winners the 2nd highest seed hosts the 3rd lowest seed, and the two division winners will play for the Conference Championship game.
