2025 Texas Longhorns Football Season Recap

The Texas Longhorns football team put together a strong campaign during the 2025 college football season, competing in the highly competitive Southeastern Conference (SEC). Texas faced several tough matchups throughout the year, including early road tests and major conference rivalries, while playing its home games at the iconic Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.

The Longhorns bounced back from an opening-week loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes football with a series of convincing victories over nonconference opponents. Texas continued to compete well in SEC play, highlighted by key wins against the Oklahoma Sooners football in the Red River rivalry and a dramatic overtime victory against the Mississippi State Bulldogs football.

Late in the season, the Longhorns earned important wins over the Arkansas Razorbacks football and their in-state rival Texas A&M Aggies football, to finish the regular season on a strong note. Texas capped off the year with an impressive bowl victory over the Michigan Wolverines football in the Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, giving fans a memorable finish to the 2025 season.
